Shahbaz Mushtaq: A talented writer from Pulwama who publishes his first book

Jahangeer Ganaie Pulwama, Aug 24 (KNO): A youth from South Kashmir's Pulwama who is known for his writing skills has published his first book titled "Hasraton K Sirhanay". Shahbaz Mushtaq aka Shahi Shahbaz a resident of Washbugh Pulwama who is student of Government Degree College for Boys Pulwama launched his book at GDC Pulwama where his work was appreciated by all. Shahbaz while talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Hasraton K Sirhanay is his maiden book which comprises of ghazals and nazms in which various topics have been touched. Umair Manzoor: A talented rapper who become overnight internet sensation

Jahangeer Ganaie Kulgam, Aug 19 (KNO): A youth from South Kashmir's Kulgam district has become an internet sensation due to his talent in writing and playing raps. Umair Manzoor (21) popularly known as Umi Afeem a resident of Reshiepora Kulgam who is pursuing his bachelors after pursuing sound engineering is now famous in making songs. Umair while talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he was fond of writing since his childhood and after completing engineering in sound designing he started writing raps. “I have written and sung around one dozen songs which were based on real life struggles,” he said, adding that despite that people like classical songs, rap songs are being liked too. “I have also produced around 50 songs which have become very hit on social media and in the coming days more songs will be released,” he said. J&K administration unveils scheme for development of craft sector

Faizan Wani Srinagar, Aug 17 (KNO): In a significant move, the administration of Jammu & Kashmir has unveiled a new scheme for development of the craft sector in the Union Territory. The scheme- Karkhandar scheme for development of craft sector- has been notified by the department of Industries & Commerce after its approval by the administrative council headed by LG Manoj Sinha. The scheme will be implemented in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir through respective directorates of Handicrafts and Handloom. The scheme intends to revive the languishing crafts and upscale the learning techniques of trainees. It also focuses to improve the wage earnings of the craftsmen and create linkages with producer organizations to inculcate entrepreneurship skill and aptitude to the trainees. Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNO): A painting competition was organized by the Army on Thursday for children living in border areas. According to a statemtn issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the theme for the competition was aptly selected as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. “More than 75 children of various age groups, from nearby villages of Thalli and T Suntwari, of Macchal area, participated in the competition. It was the first event of its kind, for most of the children from these remote villages,” the statement said. The enthusiasm, creativity and patriotism of the children added to the charm of the event. The children were gifted stationary kits, to further encourage them, in pursuing their studies and taking painting as a hobby & provide them avenues to develop & express their creativity. Sahil Ahmad Lone, 21, a resident of Barpora village which is just two kilometers from Pulwama town who is pursuing BA honours in English language from cluster university has been writing articles since 2016 which are being published in leading newspapers. Sahil while talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he started writing when he was class 10th student and since then he has written hundreds of articles which have been published in leading newspapers of J&K. Mubashir Aalam Wani Srinagar, Jul 28 (KNO): Gufrana Hussain, a 22 year old girl, who is pursuing MBBS, wrote a book ISOTOPE in three months. Talking with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Gufrana said that she wrote poems for her school magazine and participated in poem recitations too. “In my middle school when I finally won prizes for writing and my friends enjoyed my work, I started writing a page and did pretty well,” Gufrana said. Gufrana said writing eventually began a very spiritual journey for her in high school. “I became the editor of my school magazine at 17,” she said. Gufrana writes short stories and poems. “The pandemic had started right when my schooling was over, so I barely met anyone. A 49-year-old man from Lal Bazar area of Srinagar has come up with a fabric map of the city of 1.5 million on which he has defined all roads, water bodies and residential areas that existed since 1825.
