FIR filed against online shopping website for selling fake products

Chinese e-commerce company Shopee, facing a controversy over FDI violations in the country, has been hit by an FIR filed by a customer in Lucknow for allegedly defrauding him. In the FIR, filed at the Mohanlalganj police station in Lucknow on January 15 and seen by IANS, the complainant Shashank Shekhar Singh said that he ordered products online from Shopee on December 10, but what he received were duplicate products.   The FIR has named Shopee, its parent company Bengaluru-based SPPIN India Pvt Ltd, and senior company officials. According to Singh, he ordered three products worth Rs 840, Rs 399 and Rs 1,299 from Shopee. Nearly 300 gram of plastic waste, including large plastic bags, were found in the dung. In a viral video from Tamil Nadu, wildlife conservationists are seen examining wild elephant dung to study the animal's diet and health. What comes as a rude shock , among the objects recovered from the dung are masks, plastic bags, biscuit wrappers, milk packets and even what seem like sanitary napkins and hairbands.  The two wildlife conservationists seen in the video are heard saying that nearly 300 gram of plastic waste, including large plastic bags, were found in the dung. New Delhi, Jan 7: The single day rise in coronavirus infections was recorded above one lakh after 214 days, taking India's total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,52,26,386 which includes 3,007 cases of Omicron reported across 27 states and UTs, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday. Out of the total Omicron cases reported so far, 1,199 people have recovered or migrated, reported PTI Maharashtra recorded the maximum number of 876 cases followed by Delhi at 465, Karnataka 333, Rajasthan 291, Kerala 284 and Gujarat 204. The country saw a single day rise of 1,17,100 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases increased to 3,71,363, the highest in around 120 days, according to the data updated at 8 am. The death toll climbed to 4,83,178 with 302 fresh fatalities, the data stated. The country last reported over one lakh cases on June 7 last year when 1,00,636 infections were recorded.
